DAP provides independent oversight of those with critical life-saving responsibilities. From private relief organizations - such as the Red Cross, CARE and others - to national governments and government organizations like FEMA - DAP keeps them honest through its three core initiatives:

    1. DAP Realtime Hotline: allows people to call, text or email real-time gaps, failures and deficiencies in disaster response.
    2. Citizens' Engagement: A longer-term project in which citizens gather information on the efficacy of relief infrastructure and processes.
    3. Policy Wiki: A repository for government relief and response policies and infrastructure, providing transparency into the services provided.
